What you get
Pricing: Monthly bookkeeping starts at $400/month. Includes a 90-day trial period before transitioning to an annual agreement. Custom proposals based on practice size and complexity.
Clean books. Consistent pay. A financial foundation built for the way you work.
Book a Discovery CallNo complicated onboarding. No long contracts. Here's what getting started actually looks like.
A relaxed 20-minute call where I learn about your practice, your current setup, and what's not working. No sales pitch, just a conversation.
I put together a clear proposal tailored to your practice size, your software, and what you actually need. No cookie-cutter packages.
You share access to your accounting software. I handle the cleanup, categorization, and initial setup so you don't have to.
Every month I reconcile your accounts, categorize transactions, and send you a clear P&L and balance sheet. You review it, I answer questions.
At year-end, I make sure everything is clean and ready for your accountant. No scrambling, no missing records. Just organized books and one less thing to worry about.
I keep my client list small on purpose, so every practice gets the attention it deserves.
Whatever your specialty, your books have their own patterns. I've seen them all.
You're tracking insurance reimbursements, client payments, and supervision fees in one messy spreadsheet. I untangle that and give you one clean monthly report.
Your income swings with the seasons and you never quite know if you had a good month or just a busy one. I'll show you exactly where your money goes.
You've got Stripe, PayPal, Venmo, and maybe a course platform, with no idea how to reconcile them. I handle all of it.
Credential
Not a hobbyist. I hold a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. I chose bookkeeping because I love the work, not because it was easy to get into.
Specialty
I work exclusively with wellness practitioners: therapists, counselors, coaches, and beauty and body professionals. I understand your business model, your software, and the financial patterns specific to your industry.
Approach
DFW-based, serving clients nationwide. I keep my client list small so every practice gets real attention, not a ticket queue. When you email me, I respond. When something looks off, I catch it.
Accepting 2 to 3 new clients per quarter. Spots fill quickly. Book a complimentary 20-minute call and let's see if we are a fit.

About Aya
Hi, I'm Aya. I spent nearly ten years in corporate auditing before building something more intentional: a boutique bookkeeping firm designed specifically for the wellness world.
I hold a Master's in Accounting and am a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. I work with a small roster of clients so the care is always personal. When you email me, I respond. When something looks off, I catch it.
Aya Hosch is a DFW-based bookkeeper holding a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas and certification as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She spent nearly ten years in corporate auditing before founding The Zen Bookkeeper, a boutique firm serving wellness practitioners exclusively.
Based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, I work with wellness practitioners across the country. All services are delivered remotely, so wherever your practice is, your books get the same focused attention.
That's exactly why most clients come to me. You don't need to clean anything up before we talk. I'll assess where things stand and take care of the catch-up work as part of onboarding.
Not at all. I work with QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, and most other platforms. If you're not using any software yet, I'll help you find the right fit for your practice size and workflow.
Every month you'll receive a fully reconciled account, a profit and loss statement, and a balance sheet. These are plain-English reports you can actually read and use, not raw data dumps.
Most clients are fully set up within two weeks. You share access to your accounts and I take it from there, handling all of the setup and cleanup so you don't have to lift a finger.
Monthly bookkeeping starts at $400/month. New clients begin with a 90-day trial period before transitioning to an annual agreement. Pricing is custom based on your practice size and the volume of transactions.
A bookkeeper handles your day-to-day financial records: categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts, and delivering monthly reports. An accountant or CPA uses those records to file your taxes and advise on tax strategy. Most CPAs do not want to do bookkeeping. It takes them away from higher-value work, and they charge $150 to $400 per hour when they do. The Zen Bookkeeper keeps your books clean and organized all year so your CPA can file efficiently, with fewer hours and fewer surprises. You pay less at tax time because the work is already done.
Most wellness practitioners spend 8 to 12 hours per month on their own books and still hand their CPA a messy file. If your time is worth $100 to $200 per hour in client sessions, that is $800 to $2,400 per month in lost revenue, plus a higher CPA bill to sort out the errors. A monthly bookkeeping retainer typically costs less than the CPA cleanup alone.
Yes. The Zen Bookkeeper is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex but serves wellness professionals nationwide. All services are delivered remotely.
